The UCSD Dancesport Team (formerly the Ballroom Dance Team) is a competitive college dance team. We are ranked third in North America for collegiate formation teams. Our teams travel to perform at shows and competitions around San Diego, California, and the nation. We also organize several shows and events at UCSD including Dance by the Shores, the largest amateur collegiate competition on the west coast. With a membership of approximately 150, we are the largest sport club on campus. The Dancesport team is comprised of 5 different teams for dancers of different levels of ability and commitment. All styles of dance are taught here including Latin, Ballroom, Swing, and Nightclub. |
